"We Never Realize When Our Own Drift Away..."
We often ask ourselves — “Who are truly ours?” Our parents? Siblings? Partner? Friends? Or someone we once loved with all our heart?
Yes, they all can be. But being “our own” is not defined by blood alone — it’s defined by how deeply someone connects with your soul. The one in whose presence you feel safe, truly seen, and accepted without pretense or condition.
Yet the saddest truth is this: We never realize when our own start drifting away from us.
Life entangles us — In the race for money, the chase for career success, the illusion of happiness on social media, laughter with friends, and the make-believe expressions of love.
And without even knowing, we grow distant from the ones who truly mattered.
Sometimes we think those who sweet-talk us, who agree with everything we say, who smile in every situation — they must be the ones who care the most. But the truth is — our real people are the ones who scold us, question us, guide us, and silently pray for our well-being.
But do we recognize them? Sadly, no.
We overlook them because they don’t compliment our looks, or flatter us with poetic words, or echo our every emotion. And so... little by little... we leave them behind.
We convince ourselves — “I’m doing fine...” But in this constant rush to “do well,” we lose the ones who always did well for us.
Take a moment, and reflect — That mother who silently waits for you every night — is she still that close? That friend who stood by you no matter what — is he still there? That soul connection that once lit up your world — is it still alive in your heart?
Sometimes we remain physically close but emotionally worlds apart. And that’s when it strikes — the ones we ignored were the ones who truly belonged.
Pause. Breathe. Feel. Ask yourself — “Am I running so fast that I’m leaving my own people behind?”
